Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy is dedicated to the preservation of greenspace in Mt. Lebanon and to increasing public awareness of environmental issues.
Since 2005 our programs have included:
“School in the Park”, which explores the natural resources within our Bird Park.
Maintenance, clean-up, and restoration of the natural environment within the Municipality’s parks.
Partnerships with Mt. Lebanon’s elementary school teachers and with the Environmental Club at the High School to support such programs as the Butterfly Garden at Markham School and the outdoor classroom at Howe School.
“Holiday for Birds” held for young children in early December at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library.
