You might notice a multitude of green tubes with nets on top in certain areas of Bird Park. In October of 2020, the Mt Lebanon Nature Conservancy and Trees for a Future planted and protected 500 small seedlings that were donated by Plant Five for Life. We had 6 work days with about 15 volunteers from the high school and community turn out to help clear the land of invasive honeysuckle and privet and then plant the native seedling. Come visit in the spring and watch them grow!
