Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy is leading an interactive workshop on winter seed sowing as part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service sponsored by Mt. Lebanon’s Community Engagement Advisory Board.
You can help improve our community’s ecology and resilience by growing native plants that best serve native pollinators, birds and critters. At this workshop, you’ll sow seeds that will germinate when the weather warms. You’ll leave the workshop with a recycled container of sown native seeds. Your plants will be ready to go into the ground in the spring, and you can plant them in your own gardens or join the Conservancy in June to plant the seedlings in our parks.
Seeds, soil and containers provided.
The workshop will take place at Mt. Lebanon High School. Sign up via the municipality’s interest form HERE.
