Plant Description:
An upright vase-shaped fern with brilliant green fronds. Grows to 2-5' tall and 2' wide. In early summer narrow new fronds emerge as vertical spikes of cinnamon red brown in the center.
Planting Instructions:
Prefers a moist or wet shady site, or a site with periodic inundation. Salt tolerant and deer resistant. Fibrous root system can assist with erosion control. Propagate by division every few years in the spring. Note: These fiddleheads are mildly toxic; don't eat.
