This drought-tolerant, warm season grass has unique flowers that can be a focal point in a small garden or mix well with other plantings. It grows to 18-24" tall and wide. The flowers are oaklike spikelets that originate in a faded purple hue and lighten to tan in the fall. The foliage is bluish in summer, and golden brown fading to red-orange and purple shades in fall.

Planting Instructions:

A full-sun plant that tolerates dry to average soils. Deer resistant, salt tolerant and songbird friendly. Can help with erosion control. Slow spreading. Cut back to 2" in February or March.
